Mayday Concert in April...?

Mr. Robotic ain't an avid concert-goer cause he wouldn't be paying for front seat prices just to get the up close view of the celebrities. If he ain't paying for good seats, that would mean that he would just be watching the concert via the big screen and Mr. Robotic thinks he would be better off watching the repeat telecasts on TV.

However, as he
has been hearing rave reviews from friends about how marvellous Mayday (better known as 五月天) is at live concerts and Mr. Robotic does like Mayday's songs, Mr. Robotic decided to abandonhis skeptical side and went for the Mayday concert in Singapore. Lucky, he did, as it was a good night for Rock and Entertainment!

Special Mentions:
Mr. Robotic, Ms. Molly and Ms. Queen (follower of 女人我最大) had dinner at Kallang Seafood Restaurant which is located at the top level of of Leisure park. The food is surprisingly good and so is the outdoor decor. Mr. Robotic's word of advice though is to avoid the dinner crowd prior to a popular concert.

Photos ripped from Ms. Queen. Opps... Mr. Robotic meant thanks, Ms. Queen!
Due to the heavy downpour, the backstage crew was busy fixing all the damaged equipment and that delayed the start of the concert. The concert started off with motorcycle stunts on the runway but it was the appearance of the band that really got the fans cheering and on their feet! Afterwards, the crowd also sangalong to the familiar songs from the band.

Kudos to the crowd that remained upbeat despite the delay!
The runway for the band members (except poor drummer) to get up close to the fans is a fantastic idea! Monster strumming his guitar (picture above) while the fans trailed enthusiastically by the side of the runway. At one point in time, Mr. Robotic was so close to the lead singer 阿信 that he was practically looking right at 阿信 in the eyes till it felt awkwardly close. The crazed male fan beside Mr. Robotic had no issue with that closeness and was reaching out to 阿信, hoping to get his hand shake. Psychotic...

Kudos to the power of rock music and the runway!

One of the various stage props that added a different feel to the whole concert experience.

Kudos to the backstage crew for all their efforts in ensuring the success of the concert!

The sixth member of the band was introduced. Bumblebee from transformers? He commented that he didn't dare to dance on the stage lest the stage collapsed. He did give a friendly wave though. Mr. Robotic read in the news that the super tall robot was supposed to do more but the rain short circuited his wires. Nonetheless, Mr. Robotic is still proud that another milestone was achieved for the robotic kind.

Kudos to the robotic world!

The band reminded the crowd that it was their first outdoor paid concert in Singapore and they were having a blast except for the excruciating heat. 阿信also commented that their band was the last one to have a concert at the existing National Stadium as the place would be teared down for further development. Wow... and that was Mr. Robotic's first time to the National Stadium. The band ended the concert by treating the crowd to an amazing array of beautiful fireworks which would not been possible had it been an indoor event.

Kudos to Mayday for going all the way to make it a memorable experience for the fans!

It was a great night!
